As a Barista / Food Truck Service Opener and Closer, you will play a crucial role in both the operational and service aspects of our daily business. This position encompasses beginning and ending the day with energy and professionalism, preparing a variety of beverages including coffee, tea, smoothies, and specialty drinks, all served with precision and care. You will be responsible for engaging customers warmly, accurately processing orders through modern POS systems like Clover POS and Door Dash, handling cash transactions, and balancing the register flawlessly.
Beyond service, maintaining cleanliness and adhering to rigorous food safety standards is imperative. Your day will include regular sanitation of workspaces, equipment, and customer areas to ensure a safe and inviting atmosphere. You will also manage stock by restocking ingredients and supplies as needed throughout the shift to guarantee smooth operations. Closing duties involve thorough cleaning, securing cash drawers, and organizing supplies to prepare for the next team member’s shift.

Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Previous barista experience or food service background
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Clover POS and Door Dash
- Ability to handle cash transactions and perform basic math
- Willingness to obtain Managerial ServSafe Certification (Blue Cert)
- Knowledge of proper food safety standards and procedures
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform cleaning duties
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to commute to Fayetteville, NC 28306
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old to meet North Carolina state licensing requirements
- Previous barista experience or food service background is highly preferred
- Familiarity with café or mobile food environments is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
- Experience operating POS systems such as Clover POS and Door Dash
- Retail math skills for handling cash accurately
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly
- Managerial ServSafe Certification (Blue Cert) or willingness to obtain it
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to efficiently open and close the food truck while managing multiple tasks
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift supplies, and perform cleaning duties
Job Duties
- Greet customers warmly as they approach the food truck and the cafe taking orders accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as Clover POS and Door Dash
- Prepare and sell a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including coffee, tea, smoothies, and specialty drinks with precision and care
- Fry all Pre-made food in the fryer
- Handle all cash register operations, including processing cash transactions, making change accurately, and balancing the register at shift start and end
- Maintain cleanliness of the food truck as well as the cafe in by regularly cleaning work surfaces, equipment, utensils, and customer areas to uphold food safety standards
- Restock supplies in the Food Truck and the cafe throughout the shift to ensure all ingredients and materials are available for smooth service
- Close the food truck and or the cafe at the end of your shift by cleaning equipment, organizing supplies, securing cash drawers, and preparing for the next team member
- Follow food handling protocols diligently to ensure safe preparation and serving of all menu items while adhering to food safety regulations
