Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in food service or retail environment preferred
- Ability to operate Aloha POS or Micros POS systems
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift moderate weights
- Commitment to maintaining food safety standards
Job Qualifications
- Prior barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is highly preferred
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food preparation techniques
- Ability to stand for extended periods, walk comfortably around the cafe9 area, and lift moderate loads as needed
- Previous experience in food service or retail environments is a plus
Job Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to company standards
- Handle all cash register transactions efficiently, including cash handling, credit card processing, and POS operations
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in the cafe9 area, including food preparation and handling
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive experience
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve multiple customers quickly without sacrificing quality
- Support food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations
