Job Requirements
- Availability to work Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- Willingness to work full shift from 6:45am to 1:30pm on weekdays and 2:30pm on weekends
- Ability to follow Egghead Cafe opening and closing procedures
- Ability to work in person at the cafe location
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Good communication skills
- Physical ability to perform cleaning and restocking tasks
Job Qualifications
- Willingness to work as part of a high-energy, efficient team in a fast-paced environment
- Self-driven, responsible, respectful and engaged
- Attentive to detail
- Previous cashier or barista experience preferred
- Ability to learn brewing methods and beverage preparation techniques
Job Duties
- Welcoming customers, informing them about specials or new items, answering questions, and accepting orders and payments
- Opening and closing bar according to Egghead Cafe standards
- Preparing drinks, baked goods, grinding and blending coffee beans, brewing coffee and tea, and serving items to customers
- Packaging food and beverages for sale
- Cleaning and restocking work and dining areas, emptying trash, and sanitizing equipment and utensils
- Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation, and presentation techniques
- Updating signage and displays to attract customers
- Taking inventory and replenishing items in display cases, at tables, or behind the counter
- Working as part of a fun, high-energy team
- Adhering to all food safety regulations and quality controls
