Currently, Town Pump is actively seeking a motivated and outgoing Store Barista Attendant to join their team. This role is a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about customer service, coffee preparation, and retail operations. The position primarily involves working at the Stone House Coffee Shots counter within Town Pump’s convenience stores, delivering a wide range of espresso-based beverages such as espressos, lattes, frappes, and specialty coffee combinations prepared according to standardized recipes. As a Barista Attendant, you will be expected to provide exceptional customer service, ensuring every visitor enjoys a personalized and satisfying experience.
The role requires a blend of customer engagement, inventory management, and operational responsibilities. You will be responsible for handling cash transactions with accuracy, managing product displays through pricing, stocking, and rotating merchandise, and maintaining a clean and orderly coffee counter. Efficiency and friendliness are key, especially in a fast-paced environment where building positive relationships with customers is essential. You will also assist customers by suggesting products and directing them to merchandise locations, further enhancing the shopping experience.
Additional duties include operating cash registers, correctly giving change, scanning credit cards and checks, completing shift paperwork, and answering customer inquiries via phone. Maintaining safety and compliance with store policies is crucial, as is the ability to address customer complaints effectively and escalate any operational issues to supervisors. Seasonal duties such as shoveling sidewalks and upkeep of the store's exterior add to the varied nature of the role.

Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in customer service or retail preferred
- ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- good communication skills
- ability to follow store policies and procedures
- physically able to perform tasks including standing for long periods and seasonal shoveling
- willingness to work flexible hours
- ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Job Duties
- be primarily assigned to the stone house coffee shots of town pump convenience stores
- be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, cash handling and accounting, stocking, pricing, rotating, and displaying merchandise, and coffee counter sales and preparation
- fulfill customer orders for food and beverage items by following stone house coffee shots recipes for espressos, lattes, frappes, and coffee combinations
- work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- build positive relationships with customers, suggest products, and assist customers with merchandise location
- operate the cash register, giving correct change, scanning credit cards and checks
- complete shift paperwork accurately and completely, answer phone calls, clean, and maintain the coffee counter
- advise the supervisor of any situations or policy violations having an adverse effect on store operating performance
- use fire extinguisher and other safety equipment as needed
- follow vendor check-in procedures
- listen and handle customer complaints
- utilize price book, safety manual, and store rest room logs
- maintain storefront, customer seating areas, parking, exterior windows, and sidewalks, including shoveling (seasonal)
