The Barista role at Sodexo, based at Allina Abbott Northwestern Hospital, offers a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic team providing exceptional customer service and high-quality handcrafted beverages in a healthcare setting. This full-time rotation shift position pays $17 per hour and requires flexibility and open availability to accommodate varying shifts and working days. As a Barista, you will be the face of Sodexo’s food and beverage services, delivering a memorable experience to guests by serving a variety of hot and cold drinks including coffee, espresso, cappuccino, tea, chai, and specialty fruit blend beverages.

Your role will involve greeting guests warmly, personalizing service to meet customer needs, and maintaining efficient beverage preparation and delivery. You will be responsible for managing coffee bar displays and ensuring that all supplies are well-stocked and attractively arranged. Cleanliness and sanitation are critical in this position; you will maintain coffee machines, preparation areas, and ensure that all health and safety standards are rigorously followed. Cash handling is also part of your duties, including operating registers, recording sales, and managing payments accurately.

Physically, the role demands significant mobility, including standing and walking for extended periods, and occasional lifting of heavy items up to 50 pounds. Teamwork, punctuality, and reliability are essential traits as you will be expected to attend all scheduled shifts and perform a variety of duties that can vary depending on client needs.
