The Barista position is non-exempt and offers competitive compensation ranging from $15.25 to $15.50 per hour plus tips, reflecting the value the company places on its front-line team members. This role demands a blend of hospitality, technical preparation skills, and operational support to ensure seamless service delivery in a fast-paced environment.

As a Barista, you will be responsible for the preparation and timely delivery of high-quality coffee and donut products while providing exceptional customer service. This includes engaging with customers to understand and fulfill their beverage and food preferences, educating them on menu items, and maintaining the cleanliness and operational functions of equipment. Additionally, you will support order fulfillment through delivery, safe product handling, and general operational tasks. Bilingual or English language proficiency is required to effectively communicate during overnight and early morning shifts.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
prior customer service experience preferred
bilingual proficiency in English and another language
valid driver’s license meeting insurance underwriting requirements
ability to stand and walk for extended periods
ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds in accordance with OSHA guidelines
strong oral and written communication skills
ability to work early morning shifts starting at 3:00 AM
ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
punctuality and professionalism
team player with good organizational skills

Job Duties

Welcome customers by identifying their interests and needs
take and process customer orders
educate customers by explaining menu items and answering questions
prepare and sell coffee and espresso beverages in accordance with prescribed recipes
explain differences in coffee beans, brewing methods, and equipment
maintain coffee inventories by replenishing beans, equipment, supplies, and donuts at the coffee bar
keep equipment operating by following instructions, troubleshooting issues, performing preventative maintenance, and notifying management of necessary repairs
enhance the store's reputation by taking ownership of assigned tasks and suggesting improvements when appropriate
maintain a safe and healthy work environment through proper sanitation and cleanliness practices
accept and fulfill delivery requests through LaMar's or partner delivery platforms
pick up customer orders promptly and verify order accuracy
ensure all beverages and pastries are properly packaged and secured
deliver products efficiently while upholding LaMar's hospitality standards
communicate professionally with customers and internal store teams
follow all traffic and safety regulations at all times and maintain professionalism
maintain a clean, organized work area and a polished personal appearance
load and unload merchandise, including lifting and arranging product as needed
operate equipment safely and courteously
prepare customer orders from tickets, pull merchandise from stock, and move heavy loads using hand trucks when necessary
perform other related duties as assigned
