The role we are offering involves providing superior customer service within our food and beverage outlets while maintaining clean and attractive settings for our guests. As a team member in this position, you will be the face of our resort’s hospitality, greeting customers promptly with a friendly and sincere welcome. You will accurately and efficiently prepare customer orders, handle guest check transactions correctly, and ensure guest satisfaction by tactfully resolving any issues. Maintaining the highest standards for product preparation while keeping work and seating areas clean and sanitized are critical responsibilities. Adhering to accounting guidelines related to payment receipts, cash drawer management, and balancing the house bank at the end of shifts ensures accuracy and accountability. Successful candidates will demonstrate reliability with consistent attendance and will willingly perform additional job-related duties as assigned. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
- Basic knowledge of cash handling and Point of Sale systems
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
- Willingness to perform various duties and tasks as assigned
Job Qualifications
- Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes as relating to pricing
- Ability to operate a keyboard and Point of Sale procedures
- Ability to effectively deal with and resolve conflict situations such as inaccurate check total
- Ability to sit and/or stand and work continually in confined spaces with or without reasonable accommodation
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences including supervisors, coworkers, and the public
Job Duties
- Greet customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome
- Use a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to, and understand requests
- Prepare customers' orders as requested accurately and efficiently
- Ring guest check correctly and close the check according to the payment method
- Ensure guest satisfaction and tactfully negotiate resolution in case of dissatisfaction
- Maintain the highest standards for all product preparation
- Clean or sanitize work areas, utensils, equipment, service stations, or seating areas
- Comply with accounting guidelines regarding receipt of payments, check total verification, tip disbursement, cash drawer and house bank management
- Balance house bank at the end of the shift, retrieve and return bank from vault to workstation
- Comply with attendance rules and be regularly available
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned
