The Food and Beverage department at American Place Casino is currently seeking a dedicated and hardworking Barista to join their vibrant team. This role involves the preparation and service of coffee, beer, smoothies, and other seasonal beverage offerings within a fast-paced and dynamic setting. The candidate will be entrusted with maintaining consistently high standards of quality and customer service, ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional experience. Alongside beverage service, the role includes preparing stadium-style quick service food items, stocking condiments and utensils, and keeping the serving and dining areas clean and organized. Proficiency in operating cash registers and credit card equipment is essential to efficiently manage transactions.
The ideal Barista at American Place Casino demonstrates adaptability and receptiveness to feedback, embracing opportunities to learn and improve under guidance. While prior experience in coffee, tea, or smoothie preparation is encouraged, it is not mandatory as the casino provides an environment conducive to skill development. The role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team, supporting colleagues and customers alike to meet and exceed established service standards. Additionally, the Barista may be called upon to undertake additional tasks as needed to support the smooth operation of the Food and Beverage department. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience or willingness to work in coffee, tea, or smoothie preparation
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver items weighing up to 25 - 30 pounds
- Comfortable walking and standing for the duration of assigned shift
- Able to obtain and maintain necessary licenses or certifications per local gaming regulations
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
