Established in 2006 by Barry Sternlicht, Starwood Hotels has steadily built a reputation for excellence, sustainability, and innovation in the hospitality industry. The company is deeply mission-driven, embedding its purpose into every aspect of the guest and team member experience. At Starwood, the focus extends beyond luxury accommodation to fostering an inclusive culture, delivering exceptional service, and respecting the natural environment in which it operates. With a commitment to diversity and sustainability, Starwood Hotels creates meaningful connections among travelers and nurtures community while responsibly taking care of the planet. Being an equal opportunity employer, Starwood Hotels champions a diverse and empowered workforce, where every team member's contribution is valued and respected.

Currently, Starwood Hotels is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Bar Back/Runner to join the vibrant Food & Beverage team within the luxury dining setting of Alteno, a concept emerging from Chef Johnny Curiel's One Michelin Star Alma Fonda Fina. Alteno celebrates the rich heritage of Jaliscan Highland cuisine by incorporating traditional flavors and rustic preparations that highlight the culture and culinary artistry of Los Altos de Jalisco. This role is not only essential for supporting bartenders during service but also critical in shaping an unforgettable guest experience through attentive service and collaboration. The Bar Back/Runner will assist bartenders by setting up and breaking down the bar, stocking and replenishing supplies such as liquor, mixers, garnishes, and ice, and providing necessary support during peak service times. Success in this role hinges on meticulous attention to detail, a willingness to anticipate needs, and a proactive approach to maintaining operational efficiency. The position demands physical stamina to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods, flexibility to work varying schedules including weekends and holidays, and excellent communication skills to engage effectively with team members and guests. This role embodies the values of teamwork, service excellence, and the unique Starwood culture, promising a dynamic work environment with opportunities for personal and professional growth. Starwood Hotels offers the opportunity to be part of a company that not only leads in luxury hospitality but also deeply cares about its people and the planet, making every day special for its guests and employees alike.
