The role of Bar Back at the Tram Club, located inside the Snowbird Center, is a part-time, seasonal position available from August 1, 2026, through October 11, 2026, primarily on Saturdays and Sundays. Reporting directly to the Tram Club Manager, the Bar Back plays a crucial supporting role in maintaining efficient bar operations and high-quality guest service. This role involves assisting bartenders by ensuring that the bar area is well-stocked with beer and other supplies, cleaning and organizing glassware, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the bar and walk-in storage areas. The Bar Back supports the responsible service of alcoholic beverages according to state laws and regulations and contributes to a pleasant, respectful atmosphere for both guests and employees. Ideal candidates will have excellent interpersonal skills, be comfortable multitasking in fast-paced environments, and demonstrate the ability to maintain composure and organization under pressure. Physical demands include the ability to lift over 25 pounds, stand for long periods, carry trays, and perform repetitive motions, making this role suited for individuals who are energetic and physically capable. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Valid Food Handler Permit
  • Valid Tips Certification
  • Valid Sheriff Work Card
  • Competency in reading, writing, and arithmetic
  • Physical ability to lift 25 plus pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Capability to carry trays and perform repetitive motions
  • Ability to bend, kneel, handle, reach, grasp
  • Must maintain positive interpersonal relationships with guests and coworkers
  • Ability to follow state alcohol service laws and safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of job-specific work experience with demonstrated competence
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Food Handler Permit
  • Tips Certification
  • Sheriff Work Card
  • Competency in reading, writing, and arithmetic
  • Ability to learn menus, recipes, and beverage lists
  • Good interpersonal skills including excellent customer service, listening, and oral communication
  • Organizational skills and ability to transport fragile items in busy areas
  • Ability to multitask and maintain good customer interactions

Job Duties

  • Report to work on time in proper uniform and obey all company rules and regulations
  • Prepare assigned station and complete daily duties before and after shifts to maintain appearance and cleanliness
  • Assist bartenders in serving alcohol according to state alcohol laws and regulations
  • Maintain sanitation and safety practices throughout the property
  • Treat guests and employees with respect and handle concerns in a professional manner
  • Keep beer stocked and assist in pouring drinks
  • Organize and maintain cleanliness of bar and walk-in storage areas
