The role of Barback at Hilton is pivotal in creating memorable and seamless experiences for guests. This position goes beyond the typical duties associated with bar service. The Barback acts as an essential support member of the bar team, helping to maintain a welcoming, efficient environment for both staff and guests. They prepare fresh ingredients, ensuring garnishes and produce are ready to complement every drink served. A Barback works closely with bartenders, ensuring that the bar is stocked with all essentials like glassware, ice, condiments, and paper products, supporting uninterrupted service. Another critical responsibility includes managing beer kegs and taps, maintaining the flow of beverages during service hours.
Additionally, Barbacks assist with inventory management by checking supplies, reconciling orders, and confirming deliveries to guarantee the bar operates smoothly. Cleanliness is a priority; Barbacks maintain tidy bar areas, storage rooms, and refrigeration units, upholding health and safety standards. Compliance with regulatory requirements, including health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness, is mandatory to ensure a safe environment for guests and colleagues alike. This role requires an individual who embodies Hilton's core values of hospitality, integrity, leadership, teamwork, accountability, and urgency.
Joining Hilton as a Barback means becoming part of a team dedicated to excellence and hospitality. The role offers an opportunity to develop skills in a fast-paced environment while contributing directly to guest satisfaction and the overall success of the hotel. Hilton supports its team members with extensive benefits including travel perks, stock ownership plans, paid parental leave, caregiving and crisis support, mental health resources, generous paid time off, and comprehensive health and welfare plans.
