The Barback position at the Columbus Georgia Convention & Trade Center is an essential role within Levy's service team, designed to support bartenders by maintaining a well-stocked and organized bar area. This position involves receiving and replenishing liquor, beer, and wine supplies throughout the shift, as well as ensuring cleanliness and order in the bar and lounge spaces. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing for long periods
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Reliable and punctual
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Adherence to company policies and safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous food and beverage industry experience helpful but not required
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic knowledge of bar operations is a plus
- Physical stamina to stand and move for extended periods
- Willingness to learn and follow safety standards and procedures
Job Duties
- Receive all liquor, beer and wine from storeroom daily and as needed
- Replenish liquor, beer and wine at the bar throughout the shift
- Retrieve food items from kitchen and deliver to bar area
- Retrieve beverage items and garnishes from storerooms and deliver to bar area
- Set up bottles on bar with top shelf liquor on back shelf
- Ensure beer taps are working properly
- Place appropriate bar snacks on counter and keep supplies stocked
- Assist in opening and closing side work
- Bus tables in bar area
- Help maintain cleanliness and tidiness of bar or lounge areas including washing work tables, walls, refrigerators, and floors under equipment
- Sweep and mop service areas including floor mats
- Remove rubbish from all receptacles
- Prepare and serve beverages to assist bartender
- Perform other duties as assigned
