This particular role of Barback at Starwood Hotels is integral to the smooth operation of the bar and beverage services. As a Barback, you will be an essential extension of the bartenders, providing vital support to ensure all beverage service runs efficiently and to the company’s high standards. You will assist in setting up and breaking down the bar area before and after service, managing inventory, preparing garnishes, and maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of the bar. The role requires a proactive, organized team player who is capable of multitasking and contributing positively to team dynamics.

The Barback position is a fast-paced, physically demanding role that requires standing for extended periods and the ability to lift at least 50 pounds. This position demands flexibility, as team members may be required to work various shifts, including holidays and weekends, to meet the needs of a 24-hour operation. Job Duties

  • Assist bartenders in setting up and breaking down the bar area before and after service
  • stock and replenish bar inventory including liquor, mixers, garnishes, and supplies
  • prepare garnishes such as citrus wedges, olives, and herbs according to standards
  • monitor and manage supply of ice and ice machines
  • provide support to bartenders during service including clearing glasses and assisting guest requests
  • follow all company safety and security policies and procedures
  • ensure compliance with hotel policies and standards
  • maintain uniform and professional appearance
  • maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • embody the company vision, mission, and brand pillars
