The Mint Gaming Hall is currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to join their team as bar staff. In this role, bar staff will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized bar environment, stocking supplies, preparing garnishes and recipes from scratch, and assisting bartenders with guest interactions. They will perform opening, closing, and side duties, ensuring all products are fresh and properly stored. The position requires flexibility, as shifts may include days, swings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred
- Internal candidates must have been in their current position for at least six months and have no active disciplinary action during the last six months
- Ability to work a variety of shifts including day, swing, late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts as scheduled
- Must be able to obtain required work cards, alcohol awareness cards, and non-gaming registration as required by the local jurisdiction
- Must be 20 years of age or older
- Must pass any and all required background checks
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred
- Ability to work a variety of shifts including days, swings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be 20 years of age or older
- Must be able to obtain required work cards, alcohol awareness cards, and non-gaming registration as required by local jurisdiction
- Must pass required background checks
- Experience in bartending or customer service is an asset
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
Job Duties
- Maintain a clean and well-organized bar
- Clean, place and remove bar mats daily
- Stock liquor, beer, ice, wine, and glassware throughout the shift
- Properly labeling, dating, covering, and refrigerating prepped items in the bar
- Perform opening, closing and side duties including setting up/breaking down the bar, cleaning glass and countertops, sweeping the floor
- Rotate product to maintain freshness
- Put away liquor/beer orders as necessary
- Prepare fruit and other garnish and make scratch recipes if applicable
- Assist the bartender in greeting guests and welcoming them upon arrival
- Assist with food delivery and pre-bussing as necessary based on shift assignment
- Maintain regular attendance at scheduled shift and staff meetings
- Consistently use all bar equipment, cleaning, and sanitizing products according to MSDS sheets and departmental standards
- Provide excellent service to internal and external guests, ensuring satisfaction by greeting and interacting in a friendly manner, anticipating and meeting guest needs, and remaining calm and professional with difficult guests
