The bar back position at Twin Peaks is a critical role focusing specifically on maintaining the impeccable standards of cleanliness, restocking, and equipment functionality within the bar area. This role is designed to support the bartenders, often referred to as the Twin Peaks Girls, by ensuring that all bar stations are organized, sanitized, and fully stocked throughout the operating hours. The position demands strict adherence to the company’s uniform standards, sanitation policies, and teamwork principles to maintain the high-quality atmosphere Twin Peaks is known for. Bar backs play a key part in the beverage program by handling operational tasks such as changing kegs, checking taps, and assisting with opening and closing duties to ensure that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. The candidate must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, understanding and applying safety and sanitation regulations comprehensively. Training involves the use of technology, including tablets and computers, to stay informed and compliant with company policies. This position requires reliable communication skills in English and the ability to apply common sense in standardized situations. The physical demands of the job include standing, walking, lifting up to 30 pounds, and using hand-eye coordination for handling supplies and equipment. A clean, professional appearance in uniform is essential, and employees are expected to maintain high grooming standards consistently. Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a bar back
- Ability to communicate in English
- Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
- Must attend orientation and agree to policies and procedures as outlined in the Twin Peaks training
- Must attend and successfully complete the training program prior to working a shift without supervision
- Must successfully attend and complete any and all other required training in compliance with local and state regulations, such as food and/or alcohol service certifications
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bar back
- Ability to communicate in English
- Ability to understand the policies and procedures used to clean and sanitize a restaurant
- Must attend orientation and agree to policies and procedures as outlined in the Twin Peaks training
- Must attend and successfully complete the training program prior to working a shift without supervision
- Must successfully attend and complete any and all other required training in compliance with local and state regulations, such as food and/or alcohol service certifications
Job Duties
- Adhering to uniform standards
- Adhering to policies and procedures that maintain a clean and sanitized bar
- Maintain clean and organized stations and equipment
- Ensure HOH standards, safety and sanitation, and GHS requirements are followed at all times
- Ability to work as a team
- Train using tablets or computer
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Any other duty or responsibility that management may deem necessary
- Assisting with opening and closing duties including, but not limited to, restocking the bar with all necessary items, cleaning the bar, mopping, etc.
- Ensuring the bar is always well stocked
- Changing kegs, checking taps, and appliances to confirm they are working and in good repair
