Job Description

Dudley's is a well-established neighborhood restaurant located in the vibrant Lower East Side of New York City. Known for its seasonal menu that highlights fresh, locally sourced ingredients, Dudley's provides an all-day dining experience characterized by a warm and hospitality-driven atmosphere. The restaurant has earned a reputation as a beloved local spot, blending an inviting ambiance with high-quality food and attentive service. It attracts a diverse clientele ranging from neighborhood residents to visitors seeking authentic New York dining.

As part of a growing hospitality group, Dudley's maintains a commitment to teamwork, consistency, and delivering a polished, friendly dining experience. The establishment prides itself on cultivating a work environment where every team member, regardless of role, plays an integral part in the restaurant's success. Dudley's also emphasizes employee well-being by offering benefits such as flexible scheduling and employee dining perks.

Dudley's is currently seeking Barbacks to join our dedicated bar team. The barback position is crucial in supporting bartenders and ensuring that bar operations run smoothly and efficiently, especially in a fast-paced and high-volume setting. This role requires individuals who are hardworking, organized, and possess a strong sense of urgency. Attention to detail and an ability to work cohesively within a team are essential traits for success in this role.

Barbacks at Dudley's are responsible for maintaining the bar's supplies, restocking liquor, beer, wine, glassware, ice, and garnishes during service, and assisting with bar setup and breakdown before and after shifts. They must keep the bar area clean and organized at all times to facilitate efficient service. Additionally, barbacks help manage deliveries and bar inventory, work closely with bartenders and management, and contribute to a seamless customer experience.

The role demands physical stamina, including the ability to lift, carry, and stand for extended periods. Candidates should have prior experience in support roles such as barback, busser, or other restaurant positions, preferably in high-volume NYC restaurants or bars. A strong work ethic, reliability, and a team-oriented attitude are essential. Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays is also required.

Dudley's offers a competitive hourly wage of $17 plus tips, along with flexible scheduling options and opportunities for growth within the company. We invite passionate candidates who enjoy working in dynamic environments to join our team. At Dudley's, you'll be part of a collaborative group that values consistency and delivering exceptional hospitality within a renowned New York City dining destination. We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and encourage candidates from diverse backgrounds to apply.
