Job Description
Monkey Bar, a part of Hogsalt, is a renowned dining establishment known for its exceptional hospitality and vibrant atmosphere. Hogsalt is a distinguished restaurant group celebrated for creating transportive spaces paired with sumptuous fare across more than 20 unique restaurant locations. The company prides itself on a culture of generosity, harmony, accountability, and resilience, cultivating workplaces that prioritize inclusivity, collaboration, and genuine service. Hogsalt’s teams are passionate about delivering excellence and redefining hospitality with energy, enthusiasm, and a serious commitment to guest satisfaction. Employees at Hogsalt benefit from a supportive and dynamic work environment where they can grow their skills and engage meaningfully with both colleagues and guests. The group is dedicated to not only creating memorable dining experiences but also creating a workplace where happiness and success go hand in hand.
The role of Part-Time Barback at Monkey Bar offers an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and reputable restaurant group focused on superior service standards and genuine hospitality. The part-time position is ideal for candidates who thrive in fast-paced, full-service restaurant settings, and who demonstrate a passion for excellence and teamwork. The successful candidate will contribute actively to the seamless operation of the bar area by ensuring that all stations are properly stocked and maintained before and during service. Responsibilities include managing inventory such as wine, beer, liquor, ice, service wares, and bar supplies, as well as assisting bartenders and front-of-house staff in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
This role demands a proactive and positive attitude, with a strong emphasis on guest service and personal connections with customers whenever possible. Part-Time Barbacks must be physically capable of fulfilling the duties associated with the position, including standing for extended periods, walking throughout their shifts, and lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds. The role also requires flexibility in availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
In addition to operational duties, the Part-Time Barback is expected to observe all safety and food allergy protocols as established by Hogsalt, ensure compliance with the company's steps of service, and communicate effectively with leadership regarding any guest concerns, complaints, or maintenance issues. Completion of opening and closing duties, including side work and general cleaning projects, are essential components of the role.
Joining Monkey Bar means becoming part of a team that values resilience, accountability, and a harmonious workplace culture. Hogsalt is not your typical restaurant group; it is a place where the culinary team crafts classic, expertly prepared dishes and the service team reimagines hospitality as a fun and energetic experience. Employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including partially subsidized medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, a 401(k) program, commuter benefits, dining discounts and rewards, and vested paid time off. This role presents a unique chance for motivated individuals who wish to contribute to a respected and innovative restaurant group while advancing their careers in the hospitality industry.
