The role of the Alamo Production Crew, specifically the service bartender within the Alamo Service Bar, is central to maintaining the heartbeat of the theater. This position is responsible for preparing beverages in strict accordance with Alamo Drafthouse’s standardized recipes, ensuring every drink meets the company’s high standards of service and presentation. The job requires strong teamwork and an understanding of one’s role within the larger operation to help deliver an awesome culinary and entertainment experience to every guest. Core responsibilities include daily station setup, thorough preparation, maintaining cleanliness and health safety standards in the service bar area, and ensuring prompt delivery of drinks.
This position offers competitive pay ranging from $17.00 to $20.00 per hour and includes benefits such as paid time off, medical, dental, and vision insurance, flexible scheduling, and access to employee perks like free movies and food. The Alamo Production Crew works both back of house (BOH) and in coordination with front of house (FOH) teams, reflecting a tip-sharing system where 20% of the total tips are allocated to the BOH staff and 80% to FOH. The role demands adherence to health and safety protocols, ingredient portion control using precise measurements, and the ability to communicate effectively with management and fellow team members. The environment is fast-paced, requiring stamina for long periods of standing and walking, as well as the capacity to work nights, weekends, and holidays as part of a flexible schedule.
Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is deeply committed to its core values, which include doing the right thing with integrity, fostering a diverse and supportive community, boldly pursuing innovation and continuous improvement, and passionately giving every guest an exceptional experience. Employees in this role are expected to embody these values by treating colleagues and guests with respect, supporting local communities, and maintaining enthusiasm for the craft of beverage preparation and customer service.
