The Barback position at Aramark plays a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of bar services by managing inventory, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting bartenders and other staff members. This role requires attention to detail and a proactive attitude to ensure that bar areas are well-stocked and organized for optimal guest satisfaction. Key responsibilities include restocking garnishes, straws, napkins, and ensuring the bartenders have adequate supplies like clean towels and glassware. The Barback is also responsible for managing products delivery, using transfer sheets to keep an accurate inventory, and helping with the reordering process to meet business and guest needs effectively.

In addition to inventory management, the Barback maintains the cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and guest service areas by wiping down surfaces, sweeping and mopping floors, scrubbing coolers and storage spaces, and removing soiled glassware and trash. Ensuring that taps and appliances function properly and changing kegs when necessary are also vital aspects of this role.
