The role offered is a Barback position within the resort's bar team. This position is crucial in maintaining the efficient operation of the bar, supporting bartenders, and ensuring guests receive timely and excellent service. The Barback will work closely with both the front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) teams, assisting with stocking, cleaning, beverage preparation, and customer interaction where appropriate. This role demands a high level of coordination, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, often high-pressure environment. The position is mostly indoors in a climate-controlled area but may require occasional outdoor duties, and the wage for this role starts at $12.50 per hour. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a bar or hospitality setting preferred
  • Knowledge of bar sanitation and safety practices
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Positive attitude and customer service orientation

Job Duties

  • Promptly informs immediate supervisor of all matters of significance and takes corrective action as necessary or directed
  • Complies with direction of supervisor or bar staff and suggests viable courses of action
  • Contributes to a professional and harmonious workplace that maximizes employee morale, productivity and effectiveness
  • Works well with a diverse FOH and BOH staff of up to 40 people per shift
  • Responds positively and resourcefully to all customer requests and special instructions so as to insure memorable guest experiences
  • Presents a positive image of company at all times
  • Interacts with the vendors and the public so as to increase the appreciation of the company and the brand in the marketplace
  • Attends daily shift meetings and other staff meetings to receive information and direction
  • Greets and establishes rapport with guests
  • Interacts with staff and guests in a friendly manner so as to create loyalty
  • Listens to their concerns so as to provide effective resolution
  • Efficiently washes all glassware in automatic dish washing machines
  • Stores and handles glassware in a safe and sanitary manner
  • Insures proper storing, preparing of all bar supplies
  • Knowledge of the draft beer system in order to keep the bar supplied and to ensure the proper draft is connected to the right tap
  • Ensures a safe working environment through proper sanitation and continual cleaning of the bar
  • Proper security procedures are fully enforced
  • Properly handles and disposes of all trash
  • Follows daily checklists and production pars
  • Helps prepare all bar garnishes and drink ingredients
  • Sets up stocks and break down bar stations following company procedures
  • Completes all assigned cleaning duties
  • Complies with direction and instructions from managers, supervisors and bartenders
