This establishment prides itself on professionalism, guest satisfaction, and teamwork, providing a vibrant atmosphere where attentive service and quality beverage offerings take center stage. It is a place committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and compliance with liquor laws, ensuring that guests are treated to an outstanding experience. As a Bar Back, you will play a crucial role in supporting the bartending team by maintaining the bar's supplies, cleanliness, and overall readiness for service, thus directly contributing to the seamless operation of the bar and guest satisfaction.
The Bar Back position is pivotal in keeping the bar area fully stocked with ice, glassware, paper products, and other necessary supplies, which ensures that bartenders can efficiently serve guests without delays. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, speed, and the ability to multitask in a lively setting. You will be responsible for keeping all bar equipment clean, organizing stock, and ensuring that all glassware meets quality standards before use. The position also involves anticipating the needs of both bartenders and guests, from replenishing stock proactively to providing courteous and timely service to guests, even during peak hours.
Beyond stocking and cleaning, the Bar Back supports servers and bartenders by relaying guest orders, assisting with setting up bar wells, cutting fruit, and handling bar food deliveries. This role demands a strong physical capacity as it involves lifting heavy items such as kegs and bottles and standing for extended periods. Adherence to company, city, and state liquor laws is critical, along with a commitment to maintaining safety and hygiene standards throughout the shift.
Additionally, the Bar Back interacts with team members and guests to foster a positive work environment, ensuring that every guest feels welcomed and valued, creating a memorable 'WOW' experience. This position requires a flexible schedule, including availability for weekends and holidays, to accommodate the demands of a busy bar environment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about the hospitality industry, seeking a role that offers both challenge and teamwork in a vibrant setting. Employment type is categorized under OTHER, reflecting the unique nature of the hospitality role. The position typically requires at least one year of experience in a mid to high volume outlet and a high school diploma. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy fast-paced work, are physically capable, and have a strong desire to contribute to a successful hospitality team.
