The role of Front of House Manager at Bar Louie is central to the restaurant's operations and guest experience. This leadership position is responsible for the safety, security, and wellbeing of both guests and team members. The role primarily focuses on delivering exceptional hospitality through effective management of the front-of-house team, which includes hiring, onboarding, training, and retaining skilled team members. As a key leader, the Front of House Manager ensures that every team member reflects the company’s values and strives for high performance. The position demands strong leadership capabilities to conduct pre-shift meetings, manage service flow, coach team members, and maintain a safe and profitable shift. The Front of House Manager is active during all operational hours and adapts their approach to match guest needs and moods, all while driving sales and adherence to hygiene, safety, and operational protocols.

Job Duties

  • Exemplify Bar Louie's mission, vision, and values in daily operations
  • Demonstrate commitment to cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and accurate financials
  • Support and lead team on all local, state, federal, and company policies, processes, and procedures
  • Provide tools, coaching, development, recognition, and redirection for team members
  • Lead a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance while holding the team accountable
  • Complete all safe and secure training and processes as required
  • Address store needs including emergency and regulatory visits
  • Safely enter and exit the building and complete opening and closing procedures
  • Greet guests, manage guest flow, and provide accurate wait times
  • Handle incoming calls, reservations, takeout, and delivery coordination
  • Maintain clean dining areas and safe working practices
  • Develop communication and reporting procedures to improve service and cleanliness
  • Lead management report meetings with business leaders
  • Hire, manage, schedule, and train supervisors, team leads, and staff
  • Motivate team to meet productivity and quality goals
  • Serve as primary contact for operational issues, customer inquiries, and escalations
  • Recommend process and workflow improvements
  • Monitor customer service inquiries and promotions on social channels
  • Maintain accurate availability and consistent attendance
