The role available at JW Marriott Dallas Arts District is a full-time non-management position within the Food and Beverage & Culinary category. This position is essential to ensuring the smooth execution of banquet events by coordinating with hosts and group coordinators prior to each reception, verifying event details, guest needs, timelines, and food stations. This role requires meticulous attention to detail in reviewing banquet orders, gathering information about guests, assessing organizational needs, and tracking special arrangements to guarantee flawless execution. The individual in this position must adhere strictly to company safety policies, report any maintenance issues or hazards, maintain a professional appearance, and protect company property and confidential information. As a guest-facing role, it involves greeting and recognizing all guests in accordance with company standards, communicating effectively with colleagues and guests, and supporting team goals with dignity and respect. Physical demands include moving up to 25 pounds without assistance, standing or walking for extended periods, navigating confined or inclined spaces, and performing various physical motions such as bending, reaching, and lifting. Job Requirements

  • at least 1 year of related work experience

Job Duties

  • Meet with group coordinators or hosts before receptions
  • make introductions and ensure all preparations are agreed upon
  • read and analyze banquet event orders to gather guest information
  • determine proper organization, timing, and food station needs
  • attend and try to fulfill all special banquet event preparations
  • follow up on special banquet preparations to ensure compliance
  • comply with all company safety policies and procedures
  • report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents or injuries
  • complete safety training and certifications
  • ensure uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional
  • maintain company information privacy and protect company property
  • support coworkers and treat them with dignity and respect
  • assist the team in reaching common goals
  • meet quality assurance expectations and standards
  • move, lift, transport, push, pull, and place objects under 25 pounds without assistance
  • stand, sit or walk for prolonged periods or full shifts
  • read and visually verify information in various formats
  • inspect tools, equipment or machines for defects
  • reach above head and below knees, bend, twist waist, drag and stoop
  • move through narrow, confined or elevated spaces
  • navigate inclined, uneven or slippery surfaces and staircases
