The role advertised is a Part-Time Food and Beverage Server position that is non-management in nature, offering an hourly rate between $16.00 and $17.81, inclusive of tips. Located onsite within the hotel, this role requires direct interaction with guests, serving food courses and alcoholic beverages while ensuring a high standard of customer service and operational efficiency. The Food and Beverage Server will answer guests’ queries about menu selections, communicate promptly with kitchen staff about menu issues, wait times, special meal requests, and product availability, thus ensuring a seamless dining experience for guests. Attention to cleanliness and presentation is paramount, as the server must inspect all serving ware for cleanliness before use and maintain a tidy and welcoming dining environment throughout their shift. The position demands teamwork, communication, and the ability to follow safety and security policies diligently, all while maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.

This role not only serves as a customer service position but also supports management efforts in areas such as hiring, training, scheduling, and motivating team members in a role-model capacity. Physical stamina is essential, as the role involves extended periods of standing, walking, and moving various weights, alongside handling various objects requiring precise hand-eye coordination. The Food and Beverage Server will help ensure all dining standards are met and guests receive genuine appreciation during their visit.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • at least 2 years of related work experience
  • ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • physical ability to stand, walk, and lift objects up to 50 pounds with assistance

Job Duties

  • Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests

  • communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to kitchen
  • inspect cleanliness and presentation of china, glass, and silver before use
  • assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees
  • follow company safety and security policies and procedures
  • welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards
