The Banquet Server role at Grand Bohemian Lodge is an hourly position that demands attentive and professional service aligned with the high standards of the hotel. The Banquet Server is responsible for the setup and serving of food and beverages for all banquet functions ensuring that guests experience exceptional hospitality in every interaction. This role is essential in creating memorable events by maintaining a neat and orderly banquet storeroom, following precise banquet event orders, and delivering food and drink service with friendliness and courtesy.
This position requires a flexible individual ready to work long hours when necessary, standing for the duration of shifts, and performing physically medium work involving lifting, carrying, and moving items up to 50 pounds. The Banquet Server must be skilled in multitasking, prioritizing tasks efficiently, and attentive listening to anticipate and solve guest concerns quickly and effectively. Not only should the server execute all duties with a service-oriented attitude, but they must also display initiative in anticipating guests’ needs and contributing to an overall environment of excellence. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in hotel or related field preferred
- ability to perform medium physical work including lifting up to 50 pounds
- able to stand for entire shift
- ability to listen, understand, and clarify concerns effectively
- capability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
- positive and attentive approach to guests and employees
- problem-solving skills including anticipating and preventing issues

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience in hotel or related field preferred
- ability to work flexible and long hours
- ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds frequently

Job Duties
- Perform preparatory tasks and side work duties to ensure prompt and efficient service
- know how to read the Banquet Event Order (BEO) and be familiar with the menu of the assigned function
- serve guests according to the hotel’s standards in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner
- respond to guest problems, complaints, and accidents and communicate to management if necessary
- set all tables according to hotel standards
- maintain the banquet storeroom in a neat and orderly manner, stocked with appropriate supplies for food service functions
- clean up banquet space after the function and ensure all equipment and supplies are stored and re-stocked properly
- prepare room according to BEO and meal functions
- follow all money handling procedures when serving guest
- know the menu items for each function served and provide accurate descriptions
- ensure overall guest satisfaction
- perform other duties as requested by management
