Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior server experience preferred
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • excellent customer service skills
  • ability to work flexible schedules including weekends
  • capability to handle cash transactions
  • reliable and punctual
  • able to communicate effectively with guests and team members

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverages orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients including specialized diets and allergens
  • communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are correct and special requests accommodated
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • maintain high sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisor
  • ensure dining room is properly set up prior to and after service periods
  • operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, and beverage machines
  • work with staff of other departments during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
