The role of Banquet Server is essential within this operation, serving as the frontline ambassador to guests during events. The Banquet Server is responsible not just for serving but also for setting up and breaking down events with precision, making sure all aspects align with the Banquet Event Orders (BEO). Job Requirements

  • high school education or equivalent
  • at least one year of fine dining service experience
  • ServSafe or TIPS certification preferred
  • ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • capable of lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • able to bend, stretch, twist, and reach
  • able to work under varying temperatures and noise levels
  • fluency in English
  • able to work in stressful, high-pressure situations
  • strong multi-tasking ability

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • at least one year of fine dining or banquet service experience
  • ServSafe certification or equivalent alcohol training
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to multi-task in high-pressure environments
  • fluency in English
  • physically able to perform medium work including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • knowledge of food and beverage safety standards

Job Duties

  • be a BEO expert by understanding and executing event setups and breakdowns
  • assist with buffet and food service station management
  • arrive on time and prepare banquet and side work stations
  • maintain cleanliness and organization throughout events
  • provide attentive and polite service including pouring drinks and upselling wines
  • answer guest questions and offer recommendations
  • ensure guest table settings are neat and cleared promptly
  • understand menu items including ingredients and allergies
  • handle cash and credit transactions accurately
  • adhere to hotel safety and security policies
  • obtain and maintain ServSafe and alcohol training certifications
