This hotel features 319 well-appointed guest rooms and an impressive 30,000 square feet of meeting space spread across 19 versatile meeting rooms. The current opening is for a full-time Restaurant Server position at Hotel Murano. This role is critical to delivering exceptional guest experiences within the restaurant setting. Restaurant Servers act as the face of the establishment, ensuring that all interactions with guests are positive and memorable. Responsibilities include preparing the restaurant for service, greeting guests warmly, guiding them through menu selections with descriptive selling techniques, and accurately taking and delivering orders, including any special requests. The server must be adept at collaborating with kitchen and bar staff to provide seamless service and quick resolutions to any guest concerns. The role demands someone quick on their feet with an engaging attitude, capable of working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining excellent communication and customer service skills.

Candidates with 2-4 years of food service experience, preferably in banquet service or luxury venues like 4-star and 5-star establishments, are highly encouraged to apply. Knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits is essential, as is the ability to excel under pressure and consistently create exceptional guest experiences. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-4 years of relevant food service experience
  • Experience working in banquet or fine dining services
  • Knowledge of alcoholic beverages including wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits
  • Ability to maintain excellent communication with guests and team members
  • Capability to perform efficiently under pressure
  • Availability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Prepare the restaurant pre-shift for the service ahead
  • Greet guests as they arrive or move about the restaurant
  • Guide guests on their culinary journey through descriptive selling of the menu
  • Be accurate in your order taking, confirming all special requests
  • Be the master of the menu, understanding the details to enhance the conversation
  • Work collaboratively with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
  • Assist guests who have concerns to guide them to a resolution that leaves them happy
  • Finalize the experience through timely and accurate bill presentation
