Our establishment is a bustling Chinese restaurant specializing in banquet and line-service style dining, akin to popular fast-casual chains like Panda Express. We pride ourselves on providing an authentic and speedy dining experience that caters to a diverse clientele who enjoy flavorful Chinese cuisine in a convenient and friendly atmosphere. As a part-time employee working approximately 21 hours per week, primarily on Fridays and Saturdays from 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM, you will be integral in maintaining the high standards of customer service and operational efficiency that define our restaurant.
The role of server in our restaurant is dynamic and fast-paced, designed for individuals who thrive in busy environments and enjoy delivering excellent customer service. You will be tasked with welcoming guests, efficiently taking orders, and managing payments using a point-of-sale system, ensuring each patron has a seamless experience from arrival to departure. Your responsibilities will extend to serving food from hot lines or banquet setups, where speed and accuracy in portioning are crucial. Keeping the line stocked with sauces, utensils, napkins, and beverages is vital to maintaining flow and satisfying customer needs promptly.
Beyond service, you will help maintain cleanliness in both the dining area and service line by bussing and resetting tables, which contributes to a pleasant and hygienic dining environment. Preparation and stocking duties before, during, and after service will help support the kitchen staff and ensure smooth operations. Adherence to food safety and sanitation standards is non-negotiable, as we prioritize the health and safety of our guests and employees alike.
We value teamwork and clear communication, especially during peak times when efficiency and positivity are essential. As part of your role, you may also assist with fulfilling large party orders and catering pickups, which adds variety and responsibility to the position. This server position is ideal for those with previous customer service or restaurant experience, particularly in fast-casual or buffet/banquet settings. Being bilingual, particularly in Mandarin or Cantonese alongside English, is a plus, enhancing your ability to communicate effectively with a diverse customer base.
