The role of Banquet Server at one of Lessing's premier catering venues offers a dynamic and fulfilling opportunity for individuals passionate about the hospitality industry. This position involves working closely with banquet managers to ensure guests receive attentive and courteous service during various banquet functions. The Banquet Server will play a vital role in setting up function spaces, including the careful arrangement of glassware, service ware, and linens, contributing directly to the overall ambiance and success of each event.

Interaction with guests is a key aspect of the job, requiring servers to greet and respond to requests in a friendly and professional manner. Servers must deliver food and beverages in the correct sequence and in alignment with direction from supervisors to maintain consistency throughout the event. Efficiency and attention to detail are essential, including promptly clearing dishes as meals progress and ensuring beverage levels are maintained.

The role also requires adherence to corporate and legal standards relating to the serving of alcoholic beverages, underscoring the importance of responsibility and compliance in the hospitality sector. After each banquet, the server will assist in resetting the banquet room according to provided specifications to prepare for subsequent events. This position demands regular attendance and the willingness to contribute as a cooperative and dependable team member, taking on additional related duties as assigned.

Lessing's Hospitality Group offers an hourly wage of $11.00 per hour plus tips for New York locations, with a guarantee to adjust pay to meet minimum wage standards if necessary. Full-time employees enjoy benefits including paid time off and 401K plans, as well as comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
