The Banquet Server position within Peregrine Hospitality is a crucial role focused on delivering outstanding food and beverage service to guests during banquet events such as weddings, meetings, conferences, and social gatherings. The Banquet Server is responsible for ensuring the proper setup, service, and breakdown of banquet functions, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and professionalism that reflect the Hilton brand hospitality. This role requires a hospitality mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment while prioritizing guest satisfaction.

Candidates for this role will engage in multiple duties including event setup, where they assist in arranging tables, chairs, linens, silverware, and decorations according to Banquet Event Orders; service duties, encompassing greeting guests warmly, serving food and beverages efficiently with proper presentation, and attentively responding to guest needs throughout the event; and event breakdown, which involves clearing tables, removing items, assisting in equipment breakdown, and preparing event spaces for subsequent functions. Maintaining cleanliness and adherence to safety guidelines at all times is paramount.

Team collaboration plays a significant role in this position, requiring coordination with the kitchen, event planning, and management teams to ensure seamless execution of events. Participation in team meetings and training sessions further supports employee development and operational excellence. This role demands physical stamina including the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently, stand for extended periods, and flexibility to maneuver through various physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and climbing ladders.

While prior banquet or restaurant serving experience is preferred but not required, the candidate must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays with a flexible schedule. Job Duties

  • Assist with setting up tables, chairs, linens, silverware, glassware, and decorations according to event specifications or Banquet Event Orders
  • Ensure event spaces are clean, organized, and properly staged before guest arrival
  • Greet guests in a warm, friendly manner
  • Serve food and beverages efficiently and professionally, following proper portion control and presentation standards
  • Remain attentive to guest needs throughout the event, refilling drinks, clearing plates, and responding to requests promptly
  • Maintain knowledge of event menus and beverage offerings to accurately answer guest questions
  • Communicate guest feedback or issues to the Banquet Captain or Manager promptly
  • Clear tables and remove items post-event in a clean and organized manner
  • Assist in breaking down equipment, storing supplies, and resetting rooms for upcoming events
  • Follow all safety and sanitation standards, including Hilton brand guidelines
  • Maintain cleanliness of banquet areas before, during, and after events
  • Work closely with the kitchen, event planning, and management teams to ensure seamless event execution
  • Participate in team meetings, briefings, and training as needed
