The Banquet Manager position at Rosen Hotels & Resorts is a full-time role responsible for overseeing all aspects of banquet and convention event operations. This leadership role requires managing detailed event planning, setup, execution, and breakdown to ensure seamless service delivery and outstanding client satisfaction. The Banquet Manager will work closely with various teams, including Convention Services Managers, banquet staff, vendors, and clients, to coordinate logistics and maintain high operational standards.

In this role, the Banquet Manager is accountable for reviewing Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), developing comprehensive event diagrams, supervising banquet staff, and making schedule adjustments to accommodate any last-minute changes. Ensuring consistent food quality, presentation, and quantity is a key part of the responsibilities, along with monitoring attendance, managing payroll systems, and maintaining the appearance of convention areas.

Furthermore, the Banquet Manager acts as the primary point of contact for clients, directly engaging with them to discuss event details, address concerns, and confirm expectations are met. The role demands excellent communication skills to coordinate with internal departments and external vendors for smooth event operations. Evening operations and large-scale event productions also fall under the purview of the Banquet Manager, who must be proactive in resolving any operational issues in real time.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of hospitality banquet experience required
  • minimum 2 years of related leadership experience required
  • ability to lift up to 25 lbs consistently and 50 lbs infrequently
  • must be able to legally work in the USA

  • strong leadership and supervisory skills

Job Duties

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, safety standards, and service expectations across all banquet and convention operations
  • direct the setup, execution, and breakdown of banquet events, ensuring seamless service delivery and client satisfaction
  • review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and create detailed event diagrams and room layouts to support operational requirements
  • inspect food quality, presentation, and quantity standards for all events, maintaining consistency and guest satisfaction
  • adjust staffing levels and call times to accommodate last-minute event changes and fluctuating business demands
  • supervise banquet staff, coordinate room setups, and provide leadership to ensure efficient event execution
  • meet directly with clients to review event details, address concerns, and ensure expectations are met
  • collaborate with Convention Services Managers (CSMs), banquet teams, and other departments to coordinate event logistics and room setups
  • review daily event documentation, diagrams, staffing plans, and operational reports to ensure event readiness
  • coordinate banquet and convention operations while monitoring event setups and resolving operational issues in real time
  • maintain open communication with managers, vendors, and expo companies to ensure smooth event production and execution
  • oversee evening operations and production activities to support the successful completion of large-scale events and conventions
  • conduct routine inspections of convention and meeting spaces to maintain appearance, cleanliness, and operational standards
  • manage employee scheduling, attendance tracking, and timekeeping processes to ensure labor efficiency and payroll accuracy
  • process invoices, operational documentation, and administrative records while ensuring accuracy and timely completion
  • coordinate loading dock schedules, vendor access, and truck logistics to support efficient event load-in and load-out operations
  • comply with the company's drug-free and tobacco/nicotine-free policy
  • all other duties as assigned
