Job Description
Homestead, nestled in the scenic Wasatch Mountains of Midway, is a historic and reimagined four-season resort set across nearly 190 acres of breathtaking natural beauty. This unique destination is renowned for its iconic geothermal crater, championship golf course, and year-round outdoor adventures, offering guests an unparalleled blend of natural charm and modern hospitality. The resort features newly renovated accommodations that provide comfort and luxury amid stunning landscapes. Gourmet dining options cater to diverse tastes, and its location offers easy access to world-class skiing, hiking, and fly fishing, making Homestead an ideal retreat for relaxation and adventure alike. This environment not only attracts visitors seeking memorable experiences but also creates a vibrant and inspiring setting for hospitality professionals to thrive and innovate.
Davidson Hospitality Group, the award-winning full-service hospitality management company behind Homestead, is acclaimed for its entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to personal service. Davidson operates across four specialized verticals—Davidson Hotels, Pivot, Davidson Resorts, and Davidson Restaurant Group—and partners with global brands including Hilton, Hyatt, Kimpton, Marriott, and Margaritaville. This partnership allows Davidson to combine the individualized care of a small company with the expertise and scale of a larger organization. Today, Davidson is hiring a Banquet Manager at Homestead, a role that offers a unique opportunity to lead banquet operations within this prestigious resort.
The Banquet Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional event experiences by overseeing the hiring, training, and scheduling of banquet staff. Responsibilities include conducting monthly meetings to instill proper service techniques and etiquette for various banquet styles. The manager will supervise the setup of functions by ensuring correct placement of linens, silver, china, and glassware according to event specifications. Maintaining high standards, this leader will perform visual inspections of function rooms and equipment to guarantee cleanliness, accurate inventory, and proper setup. Effective communication is essential throughout an event, requiring the Banquet Manager to collaborate with kitchen, service, beverage, convention services, engineering teams, and guest hosts. This coordination ensures smooth event execution, quality service delivery, and compliance with all federal, state, and local safety and health regulations, as well as corporate standards.
Ideal candidates for the Banquet Manager position will have a proven track record, with at least two years of banquet management experience preferred. The applicant must possess strong supervisory and management skills and hold a Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit if applicable. Proficiency in computer skills and fluency in English are required, along with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and guests. The role demands a professional demeanor, attention to detail, and a commitment to a safe working environment.
Working at Davidson Hospitality means joining a company where the role is more than a job—it is a calling. Employees contribute to redefining quality hospitality for guests, clients, partners, and colleagues. Davidson offers a rich benefits program designed to support the well-being of its team members and their families, fostering a work environment that values excellence, innovation, and respect. This position is a fantastic opportunity for experienced professionals eager to grow in a supportive, dynamic hospitality setting that values both tradition and innovation. Davidson Hospitality is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion, promoting a drug-free workplace with pre-employment screenings in place.
