Job Description

Homestead is a historic and reimagined four-season resort nestled in the scenic Wasatch Mountains in Midway, Utah. Set across nearly 190 acres of breathtaking natural beauty, the resort is renowned for its iconic geothermal crater, championship golf course, and a wide array of year-round outdoor adventures. This destination offers a unique blend of heritage charm and modern hospitality, perfectly complemented by newly renovated accommodations and diverse dining experiences. Homestead is ideally located close to world-class skiing, hiking, and fly fishing, making it both a relaxing retreat and an adventure hub. This inspiring environment allows hospitality professionals to grow, innovate, and deliver memorable guest experiences.

Davidson Hospitality Group, the employer, is an award-winning, full-service hospitality management company overseeing hotels, restaurants, dining, and entertainment venues across the US. As a trusted partner and preferred operator for major brands such as Hilton, Hyatt, Kimpton, Marriott, and Margaritaville, Davidson Hospitality Group prides itself on an entrepreneurial management style and an owners' mentality. This approach combines the personalized service of a small company with the extensive expertise and resources of a larger organization. The company is divided into four specialized operating verticals: Davidson Hotels, Pivot, Davidson Resorts, and Davidson Restaurant Group, each focused on delivering exceptional value to owners and team members alike.

The role available at Homestead is for a Banquet Manager. This position is full-time and plays a critical part in ensuring excellent banquet service and smooth operation of events. The Banquet Manager is responsible for hiring, training, and scheduling banquet staff, while also conducting monthly meetings and demonstrating proper techniques and etiquette for all styles of service. The role requires supervision of event setups, including the placement of linens, silverware, china, and glassware to meet event specifications. The Banquet Manager will also inspect function rooms and equipment for cleanliness, inventory accuracy, and proper setup.

Strong communication skills are essential in this role, as the Banquet Manager must collaborate with various departments such as kitchen, beverage, service, convention services, and engineering. This ensures the timely execution of events, quality guest service, and strict adherence to applicable federal, state, and local safety and health regulations, as well as corporate standards. Davidson Hospitality Group offers a rich benefits program designed to enhance the lives and well-being of their team members, including multiple tiers of medical coverage, dental and vision care, 24/7 telemedicine service, pet insurance, tuition reimbursement, and a 401K match program.

Working at Davidson Hospitality is more than just a job; it represents a calling and a career revolution in delivering quality hospitality. The company fosters a welcoming and inclusive workplace environment and is an equal opportunity employer. Employment includes pre-employment drug tests and background checks, and the company participates in E-Verify to ensure a lawful workforce.
