Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
- minimum 3 years of banquet or food and beverage supervisory experience required
- valid California Food Handler certification or ability to obtain
- Responsible Beverage Service certification or willingness to acquire
- flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-site events
- ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs with assistance
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- strong leadership presence and ability to manage team dynamics
Job Qualifications
- 3-7 years of banquet, event, or food and beverage management experience
- prior supervisory experience in luxury, boutique, or upscale hospitality required
- hospitality management or related training preferred or equivalent experience
- California Food Handler and Responsible Beverage Service certification required or obtainable
- strong leadership and team management abilities
- high-level guest service mindset and communication skills
- strong organizational and multitasking ability in fast-paced environments
- financial acumen with budgeting and cost control experience
- strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure
- knowledge of banquet service standards and event execution
- proficiency with hotel systems such as Opera, Delphi, or similar preferred
Job Duties
- Oversee setup, execution, and breakdown of all banquet and catering events
- review banquet event orders for accuracy and coordination across departments
- lead pre-event meetings to align staffing, logistics, timing, and service flow
- ensure seamless execution across all phases of each event
- deliver luxury-level banquet service aligned with MacArthur Place standards
- oversee service flow including arrival, food and beverage service, pacing, and presentation
- maintain active floor presence to ensure service quality and guest satisfaction
