The Banquet Houseman plays a vital role in maintaining the seamless flow of banquet and event services by managing the physical setup, breakdown, and upkeep of all event spaces. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to physically manage a variety of tasks such as transporting heavy tables, chairs, staging, and dance floors to arrange rooms according to Banquet Event Orders (BEO). Beyond simple setup, the Banquet Houseman ensures that function rooms, storage areas, and back-of-house spaces remain clean, organized, and well-maintained throughout events. Collaborating closely with banquet servers, captains, and kitchen staff, the Banquet Houseman supports client needs during events by assisting with replenishment of supplies, linens, and meeting stations. This role demands excellent teamwork, strong communication skills, and flexibility due to variable work hours that might include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Physical capability to lift heavy equipment up to 50 lbs
- Flexibility to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Duties
- Read Banquet Event Orders and arrange rooms accordingly
- Transport, set up, and safely store equipment and banquet assets
- Maintain cleanliness of function rooms, hallways, storage closets, and back-of-house areas
- Restock service stations with linens, glassware, and serviceware and remove dirty linens to laundry
- Collaborate with banquet servers, captains, and kitchen staff to handle client requests
- Assist with refilling meeting stations and water dispensers
- Ensure rooms are refreshed during breaks and trash is emptied as needed
