Job Requirements
- ability to work independently without direct supervision
- ability to perform basic mathematic calculations
- excellent time management and planning skills
- ability to prioritize and organize work assignments
- ability to maintain close attention to detail
- experience and a thorough understanding of banquet service
- ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays
- ability to stand for long periods of time
- ability to lift a moderate amount of weight
Job Qualifications
- a true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
- experience and a thorough understanding of banquet service
- 3+ years of related F&B and/or hospitality-related experience
- 2+ years in banquet captain or catering supervisor role
- 2+ years supervisory experience, skills and abilities
- excellent verbal communication skills
Job Duties
- must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
- lead associates by coaching, giving direction, including training
- responsible for making the function space visually appealing
- presenting the menu offering for the event
- may include linen and table setting, food station design, and beverage service
- clean what you are able to, use housekeeping as a resource for help when needed
- assist with monthly inventory
- adhere to proper food handling procedures and proper beverage procedures
- proper knowledge of equipment uses and safety procedures
- other duties include general banquet preparation, room refreshes, and maintaining a sanitary environment
- all other duties as assigned by leadership
