The specific role available is for a Banquet Captain, a pivotal position responsible for the smooth execution of banquet functions. Reporting directly to the Banquet Manager, the Banquet Captain supervises and directs hourly banquet food and beverage servers and housemen, acting as the key property representative to banquet guests. This role includes coordinating all aspects of banquet room setup, overseeing food and beverage service during events, and ensuring guest satisfaction while maximizing revenue opportunities. Ideal candidates will have prior experience managing high-volume banquet functions in upscale settings, exhibit strong leadership qualities, and possess a deep passion for guest service. The Banquet Captain's responsibilities range from setting up banquet rooms with attention to detail, serving food and beverages efficiently, managing the cleanup process post-event, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in supporting areas. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits to enhance guest interactions. Compensation ranges from $15.00 to $19.00 per hour, reflective of experience and qualifications.
