The Bartender role at Ansley Golf Club is a part-time position designed to enhance the overall member and guest experience through expert beverage service. This is a non-tip, non-commission role emphasizing delivering superior cocktail selections paired with food and beverage items. The bartender assembles, serves, and delivers beverages while adhering to strict safety and sanitation protocols. Attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a strong knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits are essential for this position. The bartender works under general supervision and must be willing to serve, embodying the club’s mission of exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include stocking supplies, maintaining cleanliness, greeting members warmly, memorizing food and beverage specials, handling orders via POS systems, and assisting co-workers. This role also includes serving as a lead trainer for incoming bar staff, underscoring the importance of leadership and teamwork in the club’s service culture. Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- proven work experience in customer service support
- ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
- strong member facing and communication skills
- positive attitude and willingness to work in a team environment
- strong attention to detail
- demonstrated experience with wine, beer and spirits
- previous mixology experience is preferred
- frequent bending and lifting
- ability to safely lift and maneuver trays of food and drink
- ability to pour beverages such as water and wine
- continuous walking and standing
Job Qualifications

- must have strong demonstrated experience with wine, beer and spirits

Job Duties
- Adheres to uniform standards while on property
- reports for duty as scheduled
- stocks bars with all supplies and ingredients needed for smooth flow of service
- inspects garnishes for freshness
- prepares additional garnish as needed prior to service start time
- inspects and rotates all beer, wine and liquor to maintain maximum freshness
- labels and dates all open bottles of wine throughout shift
- checks and cleans all bar and lounge dining areas as applicable
- maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and neatness in back bar, front bar, and storage areas
- memorizes daily food and beverage specials
- informs members of specials and is knowledgeable about menu and wine list
- greets members and their guests in a warm and friendly manner within one minute of arrival
- takes food and beverage order and inputs into POS system
- delivers food and clears any nonessential items from tables, refills beverages, checks on dining members frequently
- presents checks for signature and maintains accurate member checks, turns checks and settlement in to supervisor at the end of each shift
- resets tables where applicable and cleans work area and front and back of house bars throughout shift
- assists co-workers with member service
- serving our members is a section-less job
- attends bar/section throughout service period and remains at post as much as possible
- consistently maintains and expands food and beverage knowledge specifically as related to the club menus and offerings
- takes ownership of member issues and follows problems through to resolution
- follows the service mission statement to the fullest
- will serve as lead trainer for incoming bar staff (i.e. bartenders, servers)
- completes other duties assigned by supervisor or management
