Raines Co. is currently hiring a Banquet Bartender to join their dynamic food and beverage team. This role is vital within the hospitality industry, specifically aimed at enhancing the guest experience during banquets and events by providing top-tier service. The Banquet Bartender is responsible for delivering attentive, courteous, and efficient beverage service to guests, ensuring that their food and drink needs are met with professionalism and warmth. The position is key in maintaining the high standards of service that Raines Co. is known for and requires an individual who is knowledgeable not only about mixology but also about customer service and hotel operations.

The job involves greeting guests warmly, serving food and drinks using suggestive selling techniques, and managing payment transactions accurately. Candidates will need to have a thorough understanding of menus, specials, and hotel computer systems such as Micros. Additional duties include preparing garnishments for drinks, performing opening and closing procedures, maintaining a clean and compliant bar environment, and adhering strictly to food handling and liquor laws. Teamwork is essential, as the Banquet Bartender will assist other food and beverage staff and resolve guest complaints professionally, escalating issues when necessary.

The role requires previous experience in bartending or barbacking, knowledge of both traditional and creative mixology, and certifications like ServSafe and TIPS to comply with federal, state, or local agencies' regulations. A minimum education level of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is necessary. Job Duties

  • Greet guests in a friendly, courteous and attentive manner
  • Serve food and drinks for guests using suggestive selling techniques
  • Have a thorough knowledge of menus and applicable specials
  • Ring drink orders into computer immediately, collect money from guests
  • Prepare garnishments for drinks
  • Be able to operate the hotel computer system, Micros
  • Perform opening and closing procedures along with side work as assigned
  • Follow proper procedure regarding cash handling, following cash bank reconciliation and end of shift drop
  • Maintain a clean bar
  • Know and comply with food handling and liquor laws
  • Engage guests in a cordial, efficient, and professional manner
  • Perform all bar setup and restocking/replenishment of bar inventory and supplies
  • Adhere to hotel grooming standards
  • Assist food and beverage team as situations arise
  • Resolve guest complains and perform service recover when required (and escalate to immediate supervisor if needed)
