Job Description

Arizona Grand Resort & Spa is a distinguished four-diamond resort located in Phoenix, Arizona, framed by stunning desert landscapes and the picturesque South Mountain Preserve. Known for its commitment to genuine hospitality and elevating guest experiences, the resort offers a premier setting for events ranging from polished corporate meetings to memorable personal celebrations. It combines luxury with Southwestern warmth to create an inviting atmosphere where guests can enjoy world-class amenities and exceptional service. With a strong emphasis on professionalism, courtesy, and collaboration among their associates, Arizona Grand Resort & Spa stands as a leader in the hospitality industry in the Phoenix area, striving to provide seamless and memorable experiences that encourage guests to return repeatedly.

The resort is currently seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Barback to join their Banquet Operations team, a role that holds significant importance in ensuring that every banquet service runs flawlessly behind the scenes. This position is perfect for someone who takes pride in preparation and precision, understanding that superior service begins well before guests arrive or the first drinks are served. The Barback at Arizona Grand Resort & Spa plays a critical support role by preparing and maintaining portable bar stations, stocking items, and assisting bartenders to keep the event flow smooth and efficient.

As a Barback, you will be responsible for setting the stage for exceptional celebrations by ensuring that every portable bar is impeccably organized, fully stocked, and event-ready. This involves managing liquor and mixer supplies, preparing fresh garnishes, mixing juices, and keeping bar areas clean and well-maintained throughout the event. An essential part of your role will include coordinating closely with bartenders and the Beverage Manager to maintain inventory accuracy and present a polished station that can cater to the dynamic needs of banquet events.

The position demands strong organizational skills, a commitment to cleanliness, and an ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting and moving heavy carts filled with bar supplies. Your role will directly influence the guest’s perception of service quality and the overall success of each event hosted at the resort. Working in this fast-paced environment within an upscale resort setting will allow you to develop your skills in beverage service and hospitality while contributing to the high standards of the Arizona Grand Resort & Spa.

Applicants do not need previous experience but having knowledge or experience in bar or beverage service is preferred. Essential certifications such as a current Maricopa County Food Handler Card and Arizona Title IV alcohol certification are required to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to launch or advance a career in hospitality with a respected resort brand that values teamwork, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
