Reporting to the department manager and the Food & Beverage Director, the Team Lead plays a crucial role in managing daily food and beverage operations. This includes ensuring exceptional guest service, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, overseeing quick serve operations, and managing inventory and ordering of food and supplies. The Team Lead is responsible for optimizing profits while delivering a memorable dining experience to every guest.
In this leadership position, the Team Lead coordinates and communicates between front and back-of-house staff to exceed guest expectations consistently. They are tasked with rewarding and disciplining employees based on performance, conducting evaluations, and making recommendations regarding promotions, transfers, or terminations. Maintaining high standards of appearance, sanitation, and safety is essential, including compliance with state alcohol service regulations. The Team Lead also manages the flow of the restaurant during service, supervises dining room employees, and oversees financial aspects such as daily revenue records, payroll, and monthly profit and loss reporting.
The role demands strong interpersonal skills for conflict resolution, guest interaction, and team development. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of PCI DSS guidelines around handling guest personal and financial information are also required. Flexibility with work hours is needed, as shifts may include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on business needs. The physical demands of the job include the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, carry trays, and stand for extended periods. Snowbird offers an enriching work environment with valuable benefits, including ski passes, discounts on resort amenities, medical insurance options, 401k plans, and convenient transportation to and from work. This role is ideal for someone eager to lead within a vibrant hospitality setting centered around outdoor adventure and guest excellence.
