The opportunity to join Nothing Bundt Cakes as a Bakery Manager offers an exciting leadership role that blends hands-on bakery experience with advanced management responsibilities. Initially, the Bakery Manager will engage deeply by working across multiple bakery departments to develop a comprehensive understanding of day-to-day operations and skill requirements, such as baking, frosting, utility, crafting, and guest service. This approach ensures that the manager not only understands the operational side but also appreciates the craftsmanship and dedication behind each product.

As the Bakery Manager, the individual will work closely alongside experienced managers and ownership, gaining mentorship in leadership, team development, and strategic business management. After this period of development, the Bakery Manager will take full responsibility for managing shifts independently, overseeing a team of 15 to 25 employees, and ensuring smooth and efficient bakery operations from the front of house to the back.

The Bakery Manager leads by example, cultivating a culture of positivity, collaboration, and excellence. Key focuses include training onboarding team members, scheduling, inventory management, quality control, customer service leadership, and financial oversight to optimize profitability, including hitting cost of goods sold (COGS) and labor percentage targets while minimizing waste.

This position offers a competitive starting salary between $50,000 and $55,000 per year, depending on experience and abilities, with added compensation such as monthly performance bonuses, mileage reimbursement, paid vacation, and other perks. The Bakery Manager also spearheads marketing and event coordination efforts, ensuring the bakery stays connected with the community through promotions and events. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in foodservice or bakery roles
  • Strong work ethic with willingness to learn and take accountability
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Valid driver’s license for travel to other locations if needed
  • Ability to manage up to 25 employees
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Physical ability to stand and work in a busy bakery environment
