Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- basic kitchen skills
- bilingual in English and Spanish
- ability to lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs
- willingness to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift
- knowledge of safe food handling procedures
- ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- basic kitchen skills, familiar with food preparation in a bakery department
- bilingual in English and Spanish
- ability to follow safe food handling procedures
- good communication and customer service skills
- ability to work effectively in a team
Job Duties
- Mix and measure ingredients to form dough or batter for recipes
- roll, cut, and shape dough to form rolls, pie crusts, tarts, cookies, and related bakery products
- cut, peel and prepare fruit for pie fillings, baking cakes, and preparing icing
- train assistants and maintain cleanliness of the bakery
- maintain records of customer orders
- provide quality customer service and take cake orders
- ensure cleaning supplies are stored separately
- ensure cooler and freezer temperatures are correct and maintained
- rotate merchandise in accordance with labels and maintain department plan-o-grams and schematics
