Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a bakery or food production environment preferred
- Ability to stand for long periods without sitting
- Capability to lift and handle ingredients weighing up to 50 pounds
- Proficiency in operating ovens and baking equipment safely
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and food safety
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced and friendly work environment
Job Qualifications
- Experience in baking or pastry preparation
- Knowledge of baking equipment operation and maintenance
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to follow recipes and production guidelines accurately
- Good physical stamina for standing and lifting
- Attention to detail in product quality and presentation
- Teamwork and communication skills
Job Duties
- Prepare and bake a wide variety of baked goods including bread, cakes, cookies, pastries, pies, and other specialty items
- Operate ovens and other baking equipment ensuring temperatures are correct and baked goods are cooked to perfection
- Monitor ingredient inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
- Clean and sanitize baking equipment, workstations, and utensils to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
- Regularly inspect baked goods for quality, ensuring they meet the bakery’s standards in appearance, texture, and taste
- Adhere to and fulfill a daily par sheet for production needs
- Uphold strict health department regulations and company food safety standards through proper food handling and cleanliness practices
