Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a bakery chef or similar baking role
  • Ability to stand for long periods without sitting
  • Capability to mold, fold, and lift sacks of flour, sugar, and other baking elements weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to manage hot ovens and baking equipment safely
  • Strong commitment to cleanliness and food safety
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills

  • Experience in baking and pastry preparation
  • Knowledge of bakery equipment operation
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to follow recipes and production guidelines accurately
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Good physical stamina and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare and bake a wide variety of baked goods including bread, cakes, cookies, pastries, pies, and other specialty items
  • Operate ovens and other baking equipment ensuring temperatures are correct and baked goods are cooked to perfection
  • Monitor ingredient inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
  • Clean and sanitize baking equipment, workstations, and utensils to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
  • Regularly inspect baked goods for quality ensuring they meet the bakery’s standards in appearance, texture, and taste
  • Adhere to daily par sheet and production requirements
  • Uphold strict health department regulations and company food safety standards through proper food handling and cleanliness practices
