Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior cooking experience preferred
  • High-volume baking experience required
  • Ability to follow recipes and production standards
  • Ability to maintain sanitation and safety standards
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work early morning shifts
  • Availability to work Sunday through Thursday
  • Physical ability to handle baking tasks and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries as necessary per the provided production and catering sheets
  • Assist in production planning to meet daily requirements
  • Ensure proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes and following prescribed production standards
  • Complete production records including waste tracking, used/unused portions and product shortages
  • Inform supervisor when supplies are low
  • Ensure proper presentation, food quality, portion control and serving temperatures
  • Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area
  • Handle food items appropriately following all safety regulations during preparation and service
  • Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving
  • Keep display equipment clean and free of debris
  • Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly and customer-service oriented manner
  • Relay relevant concerns from customers to supervisors
  • Consistently keep up with peak production and service calmly, accurately and efficiently
  • Follow principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment, ensuring corporate and OSHA safety standards are followed
  • Complete shift work as assigned in a timely and thorough manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned
