Job Description
Sam's Club is a leading membership warehouse club that provides high-quality products and exceptional service to its members. As a subsidiary of Walmart Inc., Sam's Club operates numerous locations across the United States, delivering value and convenience through a wide range of merchandise. The company is committed to fostering a supportive work environment where teamwork, growth, and innovation are encouraged. Sam's Club believes in empowering its associates by promoting professional development, offering comprehensive benefits, and maintaining a culture that celebrates diversity and inclusion.
The Bakery/Packager position at Sam's Club is a full-time role with competitive hourly wages ranging from $18.50 to $26.50. This position is vital to ensuring that bakery products are prepared fresh daily and presented in a way that meets the highest quality standards for members. Associates in this role are responsible for following detailed recipes to prepare baked goods and packaging them properly through wrapping, labeling, and storing. The goal is to provide members with fresh, appealing bakery items that they can enjoy at home.
Working as a Bakery/Packager requires the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Associates often juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, including assisting members with their bakery orders, maintaining cleanliness and organization within the bakery area, and ensuring that all products are readily available and properly displayed. The role demands standing for long periods, handling products carefully, and solving challenges as they arise to ensure smooth operations. Sam’s Club values team members who take pride in their work, stay positive under pressure, and work collaboratively toward the common goal of member satisfaction.
Associates are encouraged to maintain a friendly, approachable demeanor by greeting and thanking members, as well as providing assistance throughout the club when needed. Beyond just baking and packaging, this role contributes significantly to the overall member experience by creating a welcoming atmosphere and embodying the company’s dedication to service excellence.
Sam's Club offers its associates a comprehensive benefits package, including health benefits like medical, vision, and dental coverage, financial benefits such as 401(k) plans with matching, stock purchase options, and company-paid life insurance. Paid time off benefits are robust, covering vacation, sick leave, parental and family care leave, bereavement, jury duty, and voting. Additional supports include disability coverage, company discounts, military leave pay, and support for adoption and surrogacy expenses. Notably, associates have access to the Live Better U education program, which fully covers tuition, books, and fees for a variety of educational opportunities ranging from high school completion to bachelor’s degrees and certificates. This reflects Sam’s Club’s investment in the personal and professional growth of its team members.
This position is located at 1000 Franklin Mills Cir, Philadelphia, PA, and applicants must be at least 18 years old. Sam’s Club also maintains a strict drug-free workplace policy to ensure the safety and productivity of all employees.
Working at Sam’s Club means joining a vibrant community that supports continuous learning and career advancement. Associates are recognized as valuable contributors to the company’s success and are given clear pathways for growth within the organization. The cohesive culture, employee resources, and the company’s commitment to work-life balance create an inviting workplace where every team member’s contributions are valued and celebrated. By joining the bakery team, associates become part of a group that takes pride in delivering fresh, quality products and exceptional member service every day.
