The Bakery Associate role at Yoke's Fresh Market is vital to creating a pleasant and efficient bakery experience for guests. Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED
one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
effective communication skills with guests, vendors and fellow associates
ability to perform basic math using money, weight measurement, and volume
applies common sense to carry out instructions
meets state requirements for working with bakery equipment
possesses valid state food handlers permit
holds valid driver’s license or state ID
able to stand for prolonged periods, walk, use hands and arms, lift weights up to 50 pounds
committed to following safety and health regulations and company policies

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Reporting for assigned shifts on time and prepared to provide excellent service
promoting sales by providing high-quality bakery products consistent with company formulas
ensuring appropriate product stock levels for time of day, season, and promotions
providing exceptional guest service using company training principles
performing bakery tasks including finishing par bake products, labeling, rotating, writing on cakes and orders, and implementing promotional plans
maintaining proficiency in producing a variety of baked goods while preserving sanitary conditions
operating bakery equipment safely including doughnut fryer, ovens, slicer, and others
ensuring quality presentation and uniformity of doughnuts
maintaining accuracy in product production and analyzing shrink
receiving and checking deliveries for correctness and quality
communicating and completing guest special orders accurately and timely
mentoring new associates and fostering a positive learning environment
ensuring compliance with safety, food handling, and guest service policies
participating in accident reduction and sanitation efforts
