Reporting to the Bakery Department Manager, the Baker plays a vital role within the bakery team by preparing high-quality bakery and pastry items that enhance the customer experience. Bakers follow precise recipes and production lists, manage food quality and safety, and maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with health regulations. The role requires working early mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays, with occasional evening or overnight shifts as needed. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous baking or food service experience preferred
- ability to follow recipes and production procedures accurately
- capability to lift up to 60 pounds frequently
- ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive motions with hands and wrists
- flexible availability including early mornings, weekends, holidays and occasional evenings
- strong communication and customer service skills

Job Duties
- Follow recipes and production lists precisely to ensure high-quality bakery and pastry items
- monitor dates and freshness, handle outdated items properly, and report shrinkage
- adhere to all Health Department guidelines and Festival sanitation practices
- maintain cleanliness and organization in prep areas, coolers, freezers, and dry storage
- provide excellent customer service by assisting guests, taking special orders, and addressing concerns
- keep an eye on stock levels and service floor needs
- maintain food safety logs and ensure all quality standards are met by set times daily
- work closely with bakery associates to meet department goals and support a positive team environment
- regular attendance and adherence to work schedule
- perform other duties as assigned
